About me

Hello! My name is Hasan and I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Louisiana State University, a position I began in Fall 2024, under the mentorship of Ling Long and Fang-Ting Tu.

I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Virginia in Spring 2024 under the supervision of my advisor Ken Ono, with a thesis titled On the Distributions of Point Counts on Hypergeometric Varieties. I earned a B.S. in Mathematics from Lebanese University in 2018.

Broadly speaking, my interests lie at the intersection of arithmetic geometry, arithmetic statistics, and the theory of modular and harmonic Maass forms.

Moreover, in addition to my research in Mathematics, I have experience in Machine Learning and I am quite intrigued by AI, especially when it comes to generative AI.
